Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses and related resources offered by glowstageki through our website. The services include Course A stage lighting and production resources covering glow effects, camera framing, sound checks and smooth workflows for live and recorded shows. It governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains the terms under which payments are processed and refunds may be granted. The policy covers both one-time purchases and any subscription-based access to course materials where applicable.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in the displayed price at the prevailing UK rate. No additional charges apply for standard digital delivery. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider or bank. Promotional prices or discounts are clearly indicated at checkout and apply only for the duration stated.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of order details. glowstageki does not store card details. All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols to protect customer financial information in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the purchased course access details and provides login instructions. Until confirmation is issued, no binding agreement exists. Customers receive immediate access to digital materials upon confirmation for Course A resources on stage lighting and production techniques.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase to cancel without reason. Cancellation must be notified in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page. For digital content, the right to cancel ends once download or access begins if the customer has expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged loss of cancellation rights.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available within the 14-day period for unused digital courses provided no substantial access has occurred. Exclusions include completed courses, partially viewed modules, or any promotional bundles where value has been received. Non-refundable items encompass customised resources or services already delivered such as completed sound check workflow consultations.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, submit a request through the contact form on the Contacts page using [email protected] or providing your order number, full name, email address associated with the purchase, and reason for refund. Include transaction details from the original confirmation email. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits and will be acknowledged within five working days.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Each refund request undergoes review to confirm eligibility based on access logs and purchase records. Approval or rejection is communicated via email within ten working days. If approved, the decision includes the refund amount and expected processing timeline. Rejected requests receive a clear explanation referencing the relevant policy section.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, though bank processing may extend this to fourteen days. Customers are notified once the refund has been initiated. No refunds are provided in cash or alternative methods unless expressly agreed in writing.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
For digital content such as Course A modules on glow effects and camera framing, immediate access constitutes performance and may limit cancellation rights. Subscription renewals are non-refundable after the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same eligibility rules unless specific terms state otherwise. No refunds apply to services rendered such as workflow optimisation guidance already provided.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments result in order cancellation with notification sent to the customer. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and refunded if verified. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may lead to account review. Suspected fraudulent activity results in immediate order hold and reporting to relevant authorities in compliance with UK law while protecting customer data under PECR.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
This policy does not affect statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including remedies for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. Customers retain rights to repair, replacement, or refund for non-conforming goods regardless of this policy. UK GDPR rights concerning personal data processing in payment transactions also remain unaffected.
